BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the Criminal Procedure (Special Provisions) (Amendment) Act, No. 51 of 1982.

2. Section 8 of the Criminal Procedure (Special Provisions) Law, No. 15 of 1978 (hereinafter referred to as the "principal enactment") as last amended by Act No. 54 of 1980, is hereby further amended by the substitution for the words and figures " thirty-first day of December, 1982 ", of the words and figures " thirty-first day of December, 1984".

3. The First Schedule to the principal enactment is hereby amended by the addition immediately after item 20 the thereof, of the following new items :

Section 7(d) of the Forest Ordinance.

21.Illicit felling of timber and illicit gemming in reserved forests as declared by section 3 of the Forest Ordinance.

Sections 27, 28, 29, 32, 33, 34, 36, 37, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 59 (1), 63, 70, 71 and 74, read with section 78, of the Poisons, Opium and Dangerous Drugs Ordinance.

22. Commission of offences by the unlawful cultivation, possession, sale, export of poisons, opium and dangerous drugs.".
