BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows:-

1. This Act may be cited as the Navy (Amendment) Act, No. 24 of 1986.

2. Section 163 of the Navy Act is hereby amended by the substitution for the definition of subordinate officer, of the following new definition:-

"subordinate officer" means a midshipman or a cadet;
