AN ACT TO AMEND THE TOWER HALL THEATRE FOUNDATION ACT, No 1. OF 1978

BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows :-

Short title
|
1. This Act may be cited as the Tower Hall Theatre Foundation (Amendment) Act, No. 11 of 1997.
|
|
Amendment Act, No. 1 of 1978.
|
2. Section of Tower Hall Theater Foundation Act No. 1 of 1978 is hereby amended in subsection (1) of that section by the repeal of paragraph (f) thereof and the substitution therefor of the following paragraph: -
|
"(f) the Secretary to the Ministry of the Minister in charge of the subject of Cultural Affairs;",

Sinhala text to prevail in case of inconsistency
|
3. In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail.
