Short title.
|
1 This Ordinance may be cited as the Abolition of Slavery Ordinance.
|
|
Slavery no longer to exist in Ceylon.
|
2. Slavery shall no longer exist in Ceylon, and all persons being slaves shall become free, and entitled in every way to all the rights and privileges of free persons, any other law or enactment to the contrary now in force notwithstanding.
