AN ACT TO AMEND THE EXCISE ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 52)
BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist
Republic of Sri Lanka as follows :—
1. This Act may be cited as the Excise (Amendment) Short title and
Act, No. 7 of 2013 and shall be deemed to have come into date of
operation.

2. Section 15 of the Excise Ordinance (Chapter 52) as Amendment of
last amended by Act, No. 20 of 2011 is hereby further Section 15 of
chapter 52.
amended as follows :—
(1) in paragraph (b) thereof, by the substitution for the
words ''kithul tree and" of the words ''kithul tree,
coconut tree and"; and
(2) in paragraph (c) thereof, by the substitution for the
words ''kithul tree and" of the words ''kithul tree,
coconut tree and".
3. In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala Sinhala text to
and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail. prevail in case
of
inconsistency.
