AN ORDINANCE TO MAKE THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN YEARS THE LEGAL AGE OF MAJORITY IN CEYLON.

Short title.
|
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Age of Majority Ordinance
|
|
Twenty-one made the legal age of majority.
|
2. From and after the coming into force of this section, all persons when they shall attain, or who have already attained, the full age of Twenty-one years shall be deemed to have attained the legal age of majority, and, except as is hereinafter excepted, no person shall be deemed to have attained his majority at an earlier period, any law or custom to the contrary notwithstanding:

Attainment of majority by operation of law not affected.

3. Nothing herein contained shall extend or be Construed to prevent any person under the age of Twenty-one years from attaining his majority at an earlier period by operation of law
