Associated Newspapers of Ceylon, Limited (Special Provisions) (Amendment) Law A LAW TO AMEND THE ASSOCIATED NEWSPAPERS OF CEYLON, LIMITED (SPECIAL PROVISIONS) LAW, NO. 28 OF 1973. BE It enacted by the National State Assembly of the Republic of Sri Lanka as follows: – Short title. 1. This Law may be cited as the Associated News-papers of Ceylon, Limited (Special. Provisions) (Amendment) Law, No. 23 of 1974. Amendment of section 19 of Law No. 28 of 1978. 2. The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon, Limited (Special Provisions) Law, No. 28 of 1973, is hereby amended in section 19 thereof, in the definition of ” members of the public “, by the substitution for the words ” Trade Unions Ordinance,”, of the words ” Trade Unions Ordinance, public corporations as defined in section 70 (2) of the Constitution, of Sri Lanka,”. Retrospective effect of this Law. 3. This Law shall be deemed to have come into force on, July 20, 1973.
