Debt Conciliation (Amendment) Law A LAW TO AMEND THE DEBT CONCILIATION ORDINANCE. BE it enacted by the National State Assembly of the Republic of Sri Lanka, as follows: – Short title. 1. This Law may be cited as the Debt Conciliation (Amendment) Law, No. 41 of 1973. Amendment of section 54 of Chapter 81. 2. Section 54 of the Debt Conciliation Ordinance is hereby amended by the substitution, for subsection (1) of that section, of the following subsection:- “(1) The Board may, of its own. motion or on application made by any person interested, within three months from, the making of an order by the Board dismissing an application, or granting a certificate, or approving a settlement, or before the payment of the compounded debt has been completed, review any order passed by it and pass such other order in reference thereto as it thinks fit.”.
