AN ACT TO AMEND THE DEVELOPMENT COUNCILS ELECTIONS ACT NO.20 OF 1981

BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows :-

Short Title
|
1. This act may be cited as the Development Councils Elections (Amendment) Act, No.6 of 1986
|
|
Amendment of section 8 of Act No.20 of 1981
|
2. Section 8 of the Development Councils Elections Act, No.20 of 1981, is hereby amended in subsection (1) of that section, by the substitution for the words Every political party which on the day immediately preceding the date of coming into operation of this Act, is entitled to be treated as a recognized political party, of the words Every political party which is entitled to be treated as a recognized political party
