Short title.
|
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Extradition Ordinance.
|
|
Powers of Majistrates in relation to extradition under the United Kigdom acts (33 &34 Vict.c.52.)(36 & 37 Vict c.60).
|
2. All the powers vested in and acts autorized or required to be done by a police Majistrate or any justice of the peace in relation to the surrender of fugitive criminals in the in the United Kingdom of Great Britan and Northern Ireland under “the extradition acts, 1870 and 1873”, or hereby visted in, and may in ceylon be exercised and done by, any Majistrate, in relation to the surrender of fugitive criminals under the said Acts.
