AN ACT TO VALIDATE CERTAIN REGULATIONS MADE UNDER THE IMPORTS AND EXPORTS (CONTROL) ACT, NO. 1 OF 1969.

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the House of Representatives of Ceylon in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Short title.
|
1. This Act may be cited as the Imports and Exports Regulations (Validation) Act, No. 57 of 1971,
|
|
Validation of certain regulations made under the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, No. 1 of 1969.
|
2. The regulations specified in the First Schedule to this Act which were made by the Minister of State under the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, No. 1 of 1969, and the regulations specified in the Second Schedule to this Act which were made by the Minister of Commerce and Trade under the aforesaid Act shall be deemed to be and to have always been valid and effectual, notwithstanding that the requirements of section 20 of the aforesaid Act relating to the approval by the Senate and the House of Representatives had not been complied with in the case of those regulations.

1. The regulations made under sections 4 (3), 14 and 20 of the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, No. 1 of 1969 (hereinafter referred to as the ” Act “) and published in Gazette Extraordinary No. 14,876/1 of October 19, 1969.

3. The regulation made under section 20 of the Act and published in Gazette Extraordinary No. 14,897/1 of March 13.

4. The regulations made under section 20 of the Act and published in Gazette Extraordinary No. 14,898/6 of March 24, 1970.

5. The regulation made under section 20 of the Act and published in Gazette Extraordinary No. 14,901/1 of April 11, 1970.

1. The regulations made under sections 4 (3) and 14 (b) of the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, No. 1 of 1969 (hereinafter referred to as the ” Act “) and published in Gazette Extraordinary No. 14,866/2 of August 9, 1969.

2. The regulation made under sections 4 (3) and 14 (b) of the Act and published in Gazette Extraordinary No. 14,875/3 of October 13, 1969.

3. The regulations made under section 20 of the Act and published in Gazette Extraordinary No. 14,897/1 of March 13, 1970.
