IT is hereby notified that the North Western Machinery and Equipment Authority Statute (Amendment), No…….of 2003 appended below, to amend the North Western Machinery and Equipment Authority Statute, No. 09 of 1992, adopted by the North Western Provincial Council, will be presented to the North Western Provincial council after a lapse often (10) days from, its publication in this Government Gazette, Any person interested in representing any matters pertaining to provisions in this Statute should submit them to me within the ten (10) days period referred to above.

| NORTH WESTERN MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT AUTHORITY STATUTE (AMENDMENT), No…….OF 2003 OF NORTH WESTERN PROVINCIAL COUNCIL |
| A Statute for the Amendment of North Western Machinery and Equipment Authority Statute, No. 09 of 1992 of North Western Provincial Council |

PROVINCIAL Council of the North Western Province of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka hereby enacts as follows :-
|

1. The main Statute is amended by including the following Sub-section (c) immediately after Sub-section 4 (b) in Part One.
|
(c) Undertaking construction, repair and maintenance contracts of Departments, Local Government institutions, statutory bodies and private sector and enter into agreements relating to such contracts.
|
|
|
2. The main Statute is amended by including the following Sub-section (h) immediately after sub-section 6 (g) in Part One.
|
(h) Completion of activities referred to in 4 (c) above, in accordance with contract agreements.
|
|
|
Sinhala text should prevail in the event of any inconsistency.
|
3. In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Statute, the Sinhala text shall prevail.
