AN ACT TO AMEND THE MEDICAL ORDINANCE

BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows:
|

Short title.
|
1. This Act may be cited as the Medical (Amendment) Act, No. 13 of 1993.
|
|
Amendment of section 41 of the chapter 105 .
|
2– Section 41 of the Medical Ordinance is hereby amended as follows:
|
(i) in paragraph (a) of subsection (2) of that section, by the substitution, for the words ” fifteen years; and”, of the words “eight years; and” ; and
|
|
(ii) in sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph (a) of subsection (2B) of that section, by the substitution, for the words ” eight years “, of the words ” four years “.

|
Sinhala text to prevail in case of inconsistency.
|
3. In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail.
