AN ACT TO AMEND TO BE MEDICAL ORDINANCE

BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows:-
|

Short title.
|
1. This Act may be cited as the Medical (Amendment) Act, No. 33 of 1997.
|
|
Amendment of section 12 of Chapter 105.
|
2. Section 12 of the Medical Ordinance is hereby amended in subsection (1) of that section by the insertion, immediately after paragraph (b) of that subsection, of the following paragraph:”
|
“(bb) one member elected by the teachers of the Faculty of Dental Sciences of each of the Universities established or deemed to be established by the Universities Act, No. 16 of 1978;”.

Sinhala text to prevail in case of inconsistency.
|
3. In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail.
