National Health Development Fund (Amendment)

AN ACT TO AMEND THE NATIONAL HEALTH DEVELOPMENT FUND ACT, NO. 13 OF 1981

BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows : –

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the National Health Development Fund (Amendment) Act, No. 17 of 1984.

Amendment of section 5 of Act No 17 of 1981.

2. Section 5 of the National Health Development Fund Act, No. 13 of 1981, is hereby amended by the insertion immediately after paragraph (b) of that section of the following paragraph:

” (bb) with the concurrence of the Minister borrow by way of loan or otherwise from any bank or lending institution, such sums of money for the purposes specified in section 7 subject to the condition that the total amount of such borrowing shall not exceed the aggregate of its assets in fixed deposit;”.
