Parliament (Powers and Privileges) (Amendment) AN ACT TO AMEND THE PARLIAMENT(POWERS AND PRIVILEGES)ACT. BE It enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist republic of Sri Lanka as follows :- Short title. 1.This Act may be cited as the Parliament (Powers and Privileges)Amendment) Act, No. 17 of 1980. Amendment of Part A of Schedule to Chapter 383. 2.Part A of the Schedule to the Parliament (Powers and Privilege) Act, as amended by Law No, 5 of 1978, is hereby further amended, by the insertion, immediately alter paragraph 6 thereof, of the following new paragraph : – “6A. Wilfully publishing any report of any debate or proceedings of Parliament containing words or statements after the Speaker has ordered such words or statements to be expunged from the official report of Parliamentary Debates (HANSARD).”.
