Protection of Tenants (Special Provisions) (Amendment) Law A LAW TO AMEND THE PROTECTION OF TENANTS (SPECIAL PROVISIONS) ACT, NO. 28 OF 1970. BE it enacted by the National State Assembly of the Republic of Sri Lanka as follows: – Short title. 1. This Law may be cited as the Protection of Tenants (Social Provisions) (Amendment) Law, No. 31 of 1974. Amendment of section 12 of Act No. 28 of 1970. 2. Section 12 of the Protection of Tenants (Special Provisions)’ Act, No. 28 of 1970, replaced by the Protection of Tenants (Special Provisions) (Amendment) Law, No. 7 of 1972, is hereby amended by the substitution, for the words ” four years “, of the words ” seven years “.
