AN ACT TO AMEND THE REGISTRATION OF DOCUMENTS ORDINANCE

BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows:”

Short title.
|
1. This Act may be cited as the Registration of Documents (Amendment) Act, No. 5 of 1990.
|
|
Amendment of section 21 of Chapter 117.
|
2. Section 21 of the Registration of Documents Ordinance is hereby amended by the addition at the end of that section of the following new subsection : ”
|
” (6) Every Registrar shall prepare and keep a book for the registration of inland trust receipts executed in conformity with the provisions of the Inland Trust Receipts Art, No. 14 of 1990.”.

Sinhala text to prevail in case of inconsistency.
|
3. In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail.
