AN ACT TO AMEND THE STATE LANDS (RECOVERY OF POSSESSION) ACT, NO. 7 OF 1979.

BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows:-

Short title.
|
1. This Act may be cited as the State Lands (Recovery of Possession) (Amendment) Act, No. 45 of 1992.
|
|
Amendment of section 18 of Act, No. 7 of 1979.
|
2. Section 18 of the State Lands (Recovery of Possession) Act, No. 7 of 1979 (as last amended by Act No. 50 of 1987) is hereby further amended in the definition of “State land” by the substitution, for the words and figures ” or the Superior Courts Complex Board of Management Act, No. 50 of 1987, as the case may be,”, of the words and figures ” or the Superior Courts Complex Board of Management Act, No. 50 of 1987 or the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Act, No. 28 of 1961, as the case may be,”.

Sinhala text to prevail in case of inconsistency.
|
3. In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail.
