Tea Research (Amendment) Law

Tea Research (Amendment) Law A LAW TO AMEND THE TEA RESEARCH ORDINANCE. BE it enacted by the National State Assembly of the Republic of Sri Lanka as follows:- Short title 1. This Law may be cited as the Tea Research (Amendment) Law No. 33 of 1974. Amendment of section 11 of Chapter 438 2. Section 11 of the Tea Research Ordinance, as amended by Act No. 57 of 1961, is herein further amended by the repeal of subsection (1) of that section and the substitution therefor of the following new subsection: – “(1) In order to provide an annual income for. the board, there shall be charged, levied, and paid, in addition to the export duty charged under the Customs Ordinance, an export duty of one rupee and fifty cents per one hundred pounds of tea exported and so in proportion for any weight, the proceeds of which shall be paid over monthly to the board by the Principal collector of Customs, no part thereof being credited to the Consolidated Fund. “.
