AN ACT TO AMEND THE WILLS ORDINANCE

BE it enacted by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as follows :
|

Short title.
|
1. This Act may be cited as the Wills (Amendment) Act, No. 5 of 1993.
|
|
Amendment of section 3 of Chapter 60.
|
2. Section 3 of the Wills Ordinance is hereby amended by the substitution for the words ” No will made by any male under the age of twenty-one years, or by any female under the age of eighteen years,”, of the words “No will made by any person under the age of eighteen years,”.
|
|
Sinhala text to prevail in case Inconsistency.
|
3. In the event of any inconsistency between the Sinhala and Tamil texts of this Act, the Sinhala text shall prevail-
